Here are each of the pages you need to complete in order to get cleared for participation during the 2015-16 season:

 

**Team Participation Agreement:  Must be completed for every sport every season

 

**Student Alternate Transportation Form:  For students that will either be transporting themselves and/or will be transported by an adult other than a parent/guardian including Coach.

 

Student Personal Auto Usage Form:  For students that will be transporting themselves, requires a copy of current CDL and insurance declaration page in order to be complete.  

Reminder:  if you are filling this form out, you will also need the Student Alternate Transportation Form.

 

**Concussion and Head Injury Information Sheet:  Required for all athletes prior to participation, response to California law that went into effect on Jan 1, 2012.

 

**Sudden Cardiac Arrest Information Sheet:  Required for all athletes prior to participation, California law 2015.

 

**Physical Form:  required every year, must be dated after May 1, 2015

 

**Emergency Form:  Maybe picked up from Coach or in the Athletic Office

 

** = REQUIRED TO BE CLEARED, NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Saturday May 7th from 9 am to noon in the Aux Gym.  

This physical will be good for the entire 2016-17 school year.

  • Varsity Baseball beat Grant 7-0. Matt Manning threw a 1 hit complete game shut-out with 13 strike outs. Ryan Lemp, Dean Lucas, and Lincoln Orellana 2 hits each. Burle Dixon had 3 RBI’s
  • JV Baseball beat Grant 5-0. Ian Offord threw a 1 hit complete game shut-out.
  • Varsity softball beat Franklin 10-0. Jessica Scott had 2 hits with 3 RBI’s. Maci Fines had 2 hits. Shea Moreno had 2 hits. Jordan Fines had 2 hits with 3 RBI’s. Taliyah Miles and Grace Owen pitched a combined 1 hit shutout in 5 innings.
  • Varsity Women’s Soccer tied Pleasant Grove 0-0.
  • JV Women’s Soccer lost to Pleasant Grove.
  • Boys golf finished the season yesterday at Ancil Hoffman playing in a Delta League tournament.  Jayson Gray was low score for the Huskies shooting an 88.

Tuesday

Men’s Volleyball will travel to Pleasant Grove. The match will start at 6:00.

Wednesday

Baseball will travel to Franklin. Game time is at 4:00.

Softball will travel to Saint Francis. Game time is at 4:00.

Women’s Soccer will host Elk Grove. Varsity will start at 7pm and JV will start at 5:00.

Thursday

Men’s Volleyball will host Elk Grove. The match will start at 7:30pm

Friday

Baseball will host Franklin. Game time is at 4:00.

Softball will host Grant. Game time is at 4:00.

Track will host the Delta League Trials.

Saturday

Varsity baseball will host Galt. Game time is at 10:00.

 

Announcements:

  • Sheldon women's soccer is playing their final home game this Wednesday in honor of Juliana Costigliola's dad, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in February.  The team is asking for donations at entry in lieu of admission and all proceeds will be donated in his name to the American Cancer Society.  Come cheer on the team and support a worthwhile cause at the same time.  JV plays at 5; varsity plays at 7.  Thank you for your support.
  • There will be a mandatory meeting Thursday (May 5th) after school in the cafeteria for all girls interested in playing golf next year.  Please make arrangements to be there.  The meeting will be very short.
  • Free athletic physicals on Saturday May 7th from 9-12 in the AUX Gym. In order to have a physicals you will need a parent signature on the physical form. Visit the athletics page at sheldonhuskies.com to print out the form. This physical will be good for the 2016-17 school year.

  • Varsity Baseball beat Grant 13-1. Fabian Garcia threw a 1 hitter to get the win for the Huskies. Matt Manning went 3-3 with 3 RBI:s.
  • JV Baseball beat Grant 9-7. Marino Botelho and Devin Hughes hit homeruns.
  • Varsity Baseball beat Capuchino High School 13-12. The huskies had a season high 18 hits.
  • Varsity softball beat Davis 10-1. Jaciana Vasquez had 3 hits. Jordan Fines had 3 hits including 2 doubles and 2 RBI’s. Sarah Fukushima hit 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI’s. Taliyah Miles only allowed 3 hits in 5 innings and struck out 4 batters. Grace Owen only allowed one hit in 2 innings.
  • JV softball beat Davis 4-3. Carlie Vertullo hit the game winning RBI with a double. Brianna Nonog had a diving catch at second base with a toss to Mariah Madan at shortstop to complete a double play to end the 7th inning. Kenedi Brown struck out 8 batters and had no earned runs.
